At Z’s Car Care, we know it’s important to have diesel particulate filters changed every 100,000 miles. Some models can wait until 150,000 to 200,000 miles to have their diesel particulate filter changed if they aren’t as heavy-duty. Either way, we’ll be able to determine how often you should have it replaced. As your diesel vehicle starts to take on extra miles, if it’s been taking poor-quality fuel, you should consider getting an inspection on your injection pump to determine if it needs to be changed. Whenever you consider an injection pump inspection, go for a diesel fuel injector inspection, too, as those can spontaneously crack or leak. The injector can go bad if the fuel is poor quality, but sometimes, a fuel injector will just crack or spring a leak. And, like all vehicles, every diesel vehicle still requires an oil change and oil change replacement. There are also basic brake maintenance and transmission inspections that can be done with regular maintenance so you can keep your diesel vehicle in great shape.
