I have a 2014 Ford F-150, no big deal, I know it’s a common vehicle. Mine is special - it was the last truck (in a long line of Ford F-150’s) that my father purchased brand new, and it was the truck that we had our last Dad/Daughter day trip in. I drove it from Upstate NY to Portland last June after my father’s memorial service. I started to have some pretty significant issues with it a couple months ago; a friend recommended Z’s Car Care. So I drove from SW Portland out to Hillsboro to have my truck looked at - & I am 1000% glad I did! I mainly spoke with Will; he was a great communicator, very clear, able to explain things, he was professional, and he was very kind. The repairs done were listed in detail on my invoice with parts and labor listed separately. They also listed recommendations for future maintenance. We will be taking my truck back to them for any future work that needs to be done, because I know it’s in good hands.

Z’s Car Care is a great place to go and very honest and quick on getting the repairs done right and on time if there’s a problem with not getting parts or the repair they called me let me know right away before any work was done. The new owners are great and honest with everyone including the staff that is the same as before so you get the same great work as before. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get your car repaired or oil changed.

Z’s is under new ownership but the excellent quality I had before is still in full swing. They diagnosed my vehicle problem and found the right parts and fixed it all with less than a 24 hour turnaround. No easy feat considering the vehicle is 27 years old.

I gave a friend a ride to pick up his vehicle. They fixed his truck, but it seemed a bit expensive.

I showed up with my 1979 Chevy Van. Right off the bat he asked me to put a mask on? Than I found out he charges $119.00 an hour. This is $19.00 an hour more than the mechanic I am currently using. I had to back out on to the road because there was no turn around. He did take some time to look at my van. But wanted to charge me to do an inspection before working on it? I wanted to have ball joints put in.

Due to the size of our customer entry and waiting room (small), we are still protecting our employees and customers by requiring masks while inside. We provide masks if needed. I am pleased that our Service Manager did a great job ! You got enough information up front to decide that we are not the shop for you. Our labor rates are not the cheapest in town, nor the most expensive. We do charge to inspect/diagnose a complaint. We want to be sure of exactly what the problem is before we can estimate what is needed to fix it. As we warranty all our labor and new parts for 3 years or 36,000 miles, we have to be sure that the repair to be done will correct the problem. In suspension issues, there often is more than one part that is wearing beyond our standards of safety - an inspection is required. Our parking lot sometimes is very full. We will always turn your vehicle around for you or move a recently dropped off vehicle to assist in getting turned around. I wish you the best in finding the right shop for you.
